RSPA through its software division will develop and market a practice management and medical records system. It is also developing a medical transcription system. It is anticipated that the products will be ready for market in approximately 12 months.
The products to be marketed under the name Practice Management System and Electronic Medical Records System (“PMS/EMR”) will have the following modules
Patient management and Physician-to-Physician HIPPA complaint communication: This module will allow a clinicians physician to manage their patient lists and make necessary changes, including assigning patients to other physicians. The system allows secure messaging between colleagues for possible shift change, either from morning to evening shift, or when they go off service.
Patients can schedule physical and Tele Medicine appointments, ask questions to the physicians and get feedback.
The billing software consists of both charge capture as well as billing software modules. Billing will also be updated to adapt to the latest CPT and ICD guidelines. This software will implement the latest PQRI measures to track physician quality performance. The billing module will interface with existing clearing houses to transmit medical billing claims electronically to the respective payers.
The system is expected to generate both financial and clinical performance reports at physician level, Clinic level, and group level for monitoring and improving operations.
The systems when fully developed will be used at RSPA first. This will be the systems beta testing period.
The software division will be developing a physician transcription system. This system will enable a 24 hour turnaround delivery time for transcription delivery.
